I own a Yugoslavian M 59/66 rifle. It came with the logbook, however as can be seen on the images pages, the date of manufacture was left blank. Not all Yugo M 59/66 rifles have a logbook. By compiling a list of serial numbers and manufacturing dates I hope to be able to determine what the serial number range for any given year. This will allow owners with an incomplete logbook or no logbook to determine their rifles year of manufacture. Also there is no information as to when the change was made in type of night sights and grenade launcher design. From this survey I hope to be able to answer these questions.
